My parents were Luther and Darlie Britton. I have so many fond memories of the wonderful times our families shared, both at your home and at my parents' Hidden Acres Farm on the Halleck Road. I loved both your Mother and Father and it was always with so much pleasure that I looked forward to our visits. I also remember the fun I shared with Patty and Stevie - along with my brother, Kevin. Mike was a bit younger, but a great kid also!!!
After my Mother died, on many occasions, my Father and I would meet your Mother for breakfast in one of the local eateries in Bruceton Mills. One of my favorite photos is of she and my Dad - very loving friends, each having lost their precious partners in life.
I always looked forward to receiving your Mother's Christmas cards and could immediately identify them by her beautiful and unique handwriting - which she maintained even through this past Christmas. It depicted her always-positive attitude, her love of life, and her never ceasing warm, caring and sincere personality. Her passing creates a deep sadness in my heart, and I shall miss her greatly.
I send my best wishes and prayers to each of her family members. I will be unable to attend her service as I live near Frederick, Maryland and my husband is having cataract surgery tomorrow, thus requiring my presence and assistance.
