Obituary of John Paul Jones
John Paul Jones,
74, of Bruceton Mills, Hazelton Community, WV, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at South Fayette Nursing Center, in Markleysburg, PA.
The son of the late Kenneth Ray Jones, Sr., and Mary Iva Wakefield Jones, he was born October 3, 1943, in Hazelton, WV.
Paul was a graduate of Bruceton High School in 1961. He was a farmer, employed at Sheidow Bronze Corp., Inter-State Lumber Co., and Allegheny Wood Products and served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by a sister and her spouse, Barbara and Richard Coddington; a sister-in-law, Donna Jones; a niece and her husband, Stephanie and Chip Wilson; nephews, Richard Coddington and companion, Cindy and Philip and his wife, Kayla Coddington; great nephews, Hadley Wilson and companion, Jess Root and Hayward Wilson and Joseph Coddington; and great nieces, Nicole and Natasha Coddington; and his faithful dog, Pogie
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Roger Jones; a twin-sister, Pauline Jones; and a nephew, Tommy Jones.
Family and friends may call in the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Friday, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and Saturday, November 4, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral home, with Rev. Barry M. Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Webb Chapel Cemetery, Hazelton, WV.
