Obituary of Dallas E. Reckart
Dallas E. Reckart,
94, of Bruceton Mills (Cuzzart Community), WV, passed away August 2, 2017, at his home.
The son of the late Staley G. and Lona Gaye Hauger Reckart, he was born November 5, 1922, in Cuzzart.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II from January 1943 until November 1945 where he became a Sergeant. Dallas enjoyed driving trucks, especially tractor and trailers in the tri-state area and he was a master mechanic.
He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Marlene and Art Montilla of Alexandria, VA; three sons, David and his wife, Darlene Reckart, Dallas "Dal Jr." Reckart and Danny Reckart of Bruceton Mills; a brother, Wayne Reckart of Albright, WV; ten grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Dallas was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Ruth Gibson Reckart; two sisters, Glendine Savage and Rosalee Lawson.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Saturday, August 5, 2017, from 1 until 2 p.m. the time of service in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Mark Harris officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lenox Memorial (Lutheran) Cemetery, Albright (Lenox) WV, with Military honors provided by the Preston County VFW Posts, the Vietnam Veterans, Chapter 977 Preston County, WV and WVANG Military Funeral Honors, Camp Dawson.
