Obituary of June Benson

June Benson, 96, of Albright (Valley Point Community), WV, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Mon-Health Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood, WV. The daughter of the late Don and Edna Pearl Conaway Crane, she was born February 17, 1926, in Valley Point. June was a graduate of Kingwood High School, worked at Woolen Mill, many years at Albright Oil Company and retired from Kinney Shoe Plant. She loved watching ball games and spending time with her family. June is survived by two sons: Randall Benson and his wife Pat and Royce Benson and his companion, Pam Liston of Bruceton Mills, WV; a grandson, Justin Benson of Kingwood, WV; a granddaughter, Amanda Cale and her companion, Mike Parker, of Lenox community; and three great grandchildren: Chloe, Eli and Landon; and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her husband, Duane (Lige) Benson; a great granddaughter, Taylor Marie Benson; a sister, Luella Liston; and two brothers, Ward Crane and Scott Crane. To honor her wishes, a private burial will be held at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bruceton Mills, WV. The family would like to express their appreciation for the excellent care given to their mother by the Mon-Health Preston Memorial Hospital. Carl R.
