John W. Howdershelt, 59, of Wheeling, WV, formerly of Albright, WV, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021, at the Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. The son of the late Charles and Maxine Uphold Howdershelt, he was born December 10, 1961, in Kingwood, WV. John is survived by three brothers and their spouses: James Howdershelt and Mabel Jean of Salineville, OH, Gary Howdershelt and Yvonne of Bruceton Mills, WV and Denver Howdershelt and Beverly of Albright, WV; and three sisters: Joretta Livengood of Bruceton Mills, Karen Summers and her spouse, Larry, of Bruceton Mills, and Kimberly Sisler and spouse, Sam, of Bruceton Mills; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. A private family service will be officiated by Wayne Quinn and burial will be in the Lenox Memorial (Lutheran) Cemetery, Albright, WV. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of everyone attending the gathering at the funeral home, visitors must wear a mask, practice social distancing, and avoid lingering after paying their respects to John and his family.
