Obituary of Virginia Mae Davis

Virginia Mae Davis, 82, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020, at Mon Health Medical Center, Morgantown, WV. The daughter of the late Howard and Beulah Pingley Howell, she was born December 1, 1938 in Elkins, WV. Virginia was a graduate of Davis-Elkins College and received her master’s degree from the University of Virginia. She loved teaching and was a French teacher in Herndon, Virginia. After 31 years, she retired in 1995. Virginia is survived by her husband, Michael Lawrence Davis; her son and his spouse, Matthew and Nikki Davis; a brother and his spouse, Howard and Mary Howell, of Elkins, WV; a sister and her spouse, Carolyn and Edwin Pearson, of Columbia, SC; a niece, Virginia Rose Pearson; and grandchildren: Maryn, Isabelle, and Alan Davis. A private service and burial will be held at the Brick Church Cemetery in Huttonsville, WV. Carl R.
