Obituary of Betty Mary Elizabeth Durr

Betty Mary Elizabeth Durr,
 
87, of Albright, WV, passed away on May 9, 2018, at Lytle's Personal Care Home, Markleysburg, PA, with her daughters by her side.
     The daughter of the late Marshall and Hazel DeBerry McNear, she was born March 24, 1931 in Albright.
     She will be reunited with her husband, Lawrence "Boots: Durr in heaven to watch over her all their loved ones.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Jr., a granddaughter, Tami Ann DeVall and Stephanie Montgomery; brothers, Glennis McNear and Melvin McNear and a sister, Shirley Hoover.
     In her lifetime, Betty worked at various factories and the Preston Senior Center, where she delivered meals and was a senior companion in which she took great pride.  Her biggest joys were family, yard sales, and bus trips all over.
     She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Rose DeVall and Terry and Kathy Selby and Vic; two sons, Danny Durr, and his companion, Barb, and Timmy Durr and his wife, Lisa; ten grandchildren: Bradley DeVall and wife, Jeanette, Traci and husband Jimmy Sargent, Brandy Chandler and husband Tom, Rebecca Metheny, Mike Selby and his wife, Samantha, Dusty Burkey, Kayla Strawderman and Curtis, Ellie Montgomery, Christopher Durr and Trey Durr; a sister, Judy Harned, a brother, Harold McNear and his wife, Diane; a sister-in-law, Pam McNear and a daughter-in-law, Irene Durr; 22 great-grand-children and a great-great grandson, and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.
     There will be a memorial "get together" service June 2, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. at the North Preston Senior Center, Bruceton Mills, WV.
     Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, will be assisting the family with funeral service.
