Willard Leon Savage, Sr.,
81, of Albright (Woolen Mills community) WV, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at Pine Ridge Nursing Center, Kingwood, WV.
The son of the late Floyd and Virgil Glendene Reckart Savage, he was born February 12, 1937, in Hazelton, WV.
Willard (Bub) was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired mechanic. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Bub is survived by a son, Willard L. Savage, Jr., and a daughter, Tammy Savage, of Lenox community; six sisters: Josephine Roll (Bob) of San Jose, CA, Mary Ann Likens of Manlius, NY, Regina Lewis and Sue Crane (Scott) of Albright, WV, Joyce Gregg of Decatur, AL, and Patricia McKinley (Dexter) of Elgin, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Driskill.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Monday from 4-8 p.m., and Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 10:00 until the11:00 a.m. service in the funeral chapel, with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lenox Memorial (Lutheran) Cemetery in Lenox, WV, with military honors provided by the Preston County VFW Posts, the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 977 Preston County, WV and WVANG Military Funeral Honors, Camp Dawson.
