Mary Lou Patterson,
87, of Bruceton Mills, passed away on the morning of February 1, 2018, in Kingwood, WV.
The daughter of the late Dana and Bessie (Wable) Howell, she was born February 19, 1930 in Kingwood.
She is survived by six children: Charlotte (Dana) Radabaugh of Locust Hill, VA; Jean (Randy) Rinehart of Aurora, WV; Bill Patterson; Mary Alice Rodeheaver; and Mike (Teresa) Patterson all of Bruceton Mills; and Chris (Mark) Saunders of Virginia Beach, VA. She also left behind two brothers, Lloyd (Shirley) Howell of Kingwood; Roger Howell of Uniontown, PA; two sisters, Marg (Jesse) Hershman of Terra Alta and Phyllis (George) Wilhelm of Albright; and sister-in-law Mildred Taylor of Kingwood. She was also loved by ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Okey D. Patterson; son, Okey D. Jr. (Jake); son-in-law, Gary Lynn Rodeheaver; and sisters, Betty Casteel, Ruth Sines, and Barbara Cuppett; and one brother, Junior Howell.
As well as her devotion to her family, she will be remembered for her exceptional gardening, quilting, cooking and baking, especially her cherry pies.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Sunday, February 4, 2018, from 1-4 p.m. Service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. David Spence officiating.
Following cremation, interment will be held at a later date.
