Obituary of Jeanne Marie Ryan
Jeanne Marie Everly Ryan,
85, of Gibbon Glade, PA, passed away peacefully at her home in the early morning of December 15, 2017. Waiting for her at the Gates of Heaven since April 13, 2014, was her husband of 66 years, Clifford Lavard Ryan, Sr.
Jeanne was born August 2, 1932, in Pisgah, WV. She was the second of seven children born to Effie Leona Golden Everly and James Harry Everly, Sr. Along with her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two sisters, Delores June Everly Ford and Sara Jane Everly Dalton, and a brother, James Harry Everly, Jr.
She is survived by five children and their spouses: Andrea and Larry Friend of Brandonville, WV, Sheila and Greg Martin of Gibbon Glade, PA, Renae and Arthur Friend of Exchange, WV, Lisa and Jeff Tiberio of Morgantown, WV, and Clifford (C.L.) and Lynette Ryan of Kingwood, WV; twelve grandchildren: Traci (Steve) Fansler, Kelli (Chuck) Wolfe, Larry LeVaughn (Lorna) Friend, Gregory Allen (Chris) Martin, Angela (Matt) Carter, Melanie Friend (John Cox), Victor (Tricia) Friend, Ryan (Charlotte Blutstein) Nicholson, Jason (Tabitha Jeffries) Nicholson, Justin Ryan, Christian Ryan and Katie Ryan; twenty-one great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Sandra Williams, of Uniontown, PA: two brothers, Charles Steven Everly of Indianola, IA, and Gary Lee (Sonny) Everly of Pasadena, MD; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was a Christian by faith and a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church. She had a voice of an angel and could harmonize on the old hymns with anyone who could sing them. She crocheted beautiful afghans and handpieces and quilted many quilts. She was a wonderful cook, and if you walked through her door, you could expect her to feed you a meal. Grandma Jeanne was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all who were privileged to know her.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Sunday, from 2-4-and 6-8 p.m., and Monday, December 18, 2017, form 10 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service in the funeral chapel, with Mike Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Bruceton Mills, (Pisgah) WV.
