William Earl Powers, Jr.,
75, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017, in J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
The son of the late William Earl Powers and Marguerite Robertson Powers, he was born November 9, 1942, in Charleston (Cabin Creek), WV.
Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and retired Sheet Metal Worker.
He is survived by his significant other, Irene Sisler; a daughter and her husband, Amelia and Paul Groeschel of Charlotte, SC; three sons: Marc Powers and his wife, Kim of Honea Path, SC, Chris Powers of St. Paul, MN and Nathaniel Powers of Myrtle Beach, SC; two step-children, Sam Sisler and his wife, Kim and Becky Stanley and her husband, Oakey of Bruceton Mills; three sisters: Barbara Eaves of Aiken, SC, Brenda Black of Carmel, IN and Helen McCubbin of Summerville, SC; a sister-in-law, Sharon Powers of Charleston, WV; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Powers and Floyd Abie Angelo.
Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, Saturday December 16, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service in the funeral chapel with Pastor David Velickoff officiating.
Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery with military graveside honors provided by the Preston County VFW Posts, the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 977 of Preston County, WV and
